The Skin Company HydraFacial

As you know, here at The Skin Company, we are always keeping our clients up-to-date with the most cutting-edge technology in the medical aesthetic world. Today’s lesson will cover the HydraFacial, our newest, shiniest, machine. If you haven’t already heard of or experienced a HydraFacial before, I promise this treatment will completely change your skin. Afterward, you will be left wondering how you spent so much time without it.

To speak in technical terms, a HydraFacial is a “medical-grade hydradermabrasion device that carries out a patented three-part regimen — cleansing, exfoliating, and then infusing skin with intensive serums,” explains Sameer Bashey, a clinical instructor in dermatology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. To speak in non-technical terms and from my own personal experience, it’s basically a machine that sucks the oils and debris out of your pores and simultaneously dispenses active liquids that moisturize, plumpen, and brighten your skin. The machine’s handpiece uses “vortex technology” to vacuum out the nasty, dead skin particles and replace them with solutions that clean and replenish your skin.

The best part of this facial is its versatility. “This is nice for teenagers with acne; adults with pimples, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation; and for older patients with sun damage and even flaky pre-cancerous spots (as part of more serious treatments),” says Ellen Marmur, an associate clinical professor in both the department of dermatology and the department of genetics and genomics research at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Also, the results are literally instantaneous and there is no downtime. Every client that walks out of Lisa’s treatment room after a HydraFacial has a plump, moistened, GLOWING face. Also, the HydraFacial can be done the very same day as injectables and non-ablative light and laser treatments, so it can easily be paired up with your quarterly Botox appointment.

The results from our new HydraFacial technology have been incredible, and I’m so happy to have added this treatment to our growing menu. If you have questions or if you’d like to learn more, please give us a call, text us, or visit our HydraFacial page to watch some videos of the machine in action.
